Charleston Audition - Squat Series

FlowCorps Charleston Audition Instructions

Thank you for scheduling your in-person audition at FlowCorps! This is your chance to show us how you lead with rhythm, presence, and clarity—moving with your class, in sync with the music, and delivering cues that land with precision.

Below you’ll find a script, the Spotify link to False Alarm - Hook N Sling Remix, and teaching example. The script should be memorized, but you may adapt the language slightly to reflect your own voice. However, the timing, sequence, and musical alignment must remain consistent.

All highlighted time-stamps in the script must be honored. These markers are non-negotiable and indicate where each movement or transition must align with the music. For example, the initiation of a 4-count squat must begin at the 16s mark in the track.

You must maintain pacing throughout your audition, demonstrating that you can transition on the beat drop between different tempos (4-count to a 2-count to a micro-movement). Speak in time with the movement, and layer in cues outside of the beat structure while using your body to demonstrate tempo.

We’re looking for instructors who can move with intention, speak with clarity, and hold the energy of the room, while delivering strong verbal cues without losing the beat in their body.

If you have questions as you prepare, you’re welcome to schedule a time to speak with Nicole. Shoot her a text at 303-956-0924 to arrange a call.

We’re excited to see how you bring our programming to life. We’re here to support you!
